Captain Lukes
Captain Cody Lukes, "My passion for fishing is fed by teaching and watching others I take fishing, allowing them to have a great and memorable experience on the water."
Captain Cody Lukes is a United States Coast Guard certified. His experience dates back to the early 1990's when his father began to take him fishing for salmon and trout on the waters of Lake Michigan. Cody's childhood consisted of him fishing nearly everyday on the Kewaunee River or the Kewaunee Pierhead casting spoons when he wasn't able to be on a boat fishing. At the age of 16 he purchased his 1st boat. Whenever Cody wasn't working as a first mate for other charter boats, he was on his own boat fishing.
Cody started fishing salmon and trout tournaments when he went to college and continued being a first mate in the summer months on Lake Huron. During his college years, he won and placed in many tournaments by using the knowledge he gained working on charter boats on Lake Michigan and Lake Huron. Earnings from tournaments were used to buy equipment and saved for purchase of an upgraded boat.
Nearing the end of his college years, Cody decided it was time to acquire a Captains license. In January of 2015 he earned an OUPV 6 Pack Near Coastal License. Immediately he received an offer to work for one of the oldest charter boat companies on the great lakes. Captain Lukes quickly moved up through the ranks of the company to the top captain position. After 2 years of chartering on Lake Superior, Captain Lukes knew it was time to move back down to his hometown of Kewaunee to chase a dream of his of owning his own charter company which is now known as Wet Dream Sport Fishing.
Some of you may know Bill as my first mate for the last several years. Bill made the jump and became Captain Bill as of the winter of 2022. Bill was part of a successful 2023 season filling in when needed.
